New Five-Color of eSUN 3D Printing Material PETG Make Their Debut

Last winter, eSUN printing material PETG was launched whose crystal bright color added a ray of gorgeous warmth to the chilly winter.

PETG is an odorless, non-toxic environmentally friendly material with outstanding toughness and high impact resistance. It breaks through the limitations of traditional acrylics products, and its impact force is three to ten times of the modified polyacrylate and it also has a wide range of processing, mechanical strength and excellent flexibility. Compared with PVC, it has higher transparency, better lustre and is more suitable for printing.

  ”The outstanding thermal formability, toughness and weather resistance make PETG different from the traditional PC board and impact-resisted modified acrylic board. Pre-drying is unnecessary before the thermal forming process of PETC whose molding cycle is short and temperature is low but with a higher rate of finished products. In addition, PETC can maintain the toughness of the products and prevent yellowing. It contains ultraviolet absorber inside, which can be co-extruded into a protective layer to protect the plate from the effects of ultraviolet light.” The researchers of eSUN introduced, “as a new 3D printing material, PETG has the advantage of both PLA and ABS. In the process of 3D printing, the shrinkage rate of the material is very small. What’s more, PETG has favorable hydrophobicity and doesn’t require special storage in a confined space.”

PETG is widely used and is very popular in household appliances, food containers, toys, stationery, electrical and electronic products, cosmetics containers and products of other fields.

Besides the original four transparent colors of natural color, yellow, pink and blue, two new transparent colors of green and orange and three non-transparent colors of red, white, black are added. Therefore, there are nine colors for option in total currently, which can meet different needs of the makers.
