Asiamold 2013 features increased participation of 3D printing suppliers

 

Asiamold 2013 will be taking place from 24-26 September at Poly World Trade Centre Expo in Guangzhou. Over 350 exhibitors have reserved 20,000sqm of booth space. The highlights of the exhibition will be the two specialty zones for bearing and automotive mold suppliers, as well as an increased participation of 3D printing suppliers.

In addition to China, countries and regions being represented by exhibitors include Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK and the US.

Meanwhile, some of the noteworthy brands being presented include PE Mould, Ka Shui, NIKKO YOZAI, Atom Precision Mold Parts and Lip Sheng Precision. Areas of specialty covered by this year’s exhibitors will include mold-making and tooling, pattern-making and prototyping, rapid prototyping and tooling, machine tools and many more.

As 3D printing is regarded as the future growth area of mold and die technology, at this year’s exhibition, there is an increased participation of 3D printing suppliers. Asiamold 2013 and has brought together its largest group to-date of 3D printing firms to exhibit, including Hunan Farsoon High-Tech Co Ltd, Beijing TierTime Technology Co Ltd and Flashforge Technology Co Ltd.

Another key highlight to the fair is two specialty zones for bearing and automotive mold suppliers. The zones offer attendees the chance to source two of the most popular product types at the show from dedicated areas with a wide range of brands. Some of companies exhibiting are Hangzhou Wellmax Bearing, Yakeer Bearing, E-Mould Plastic, A-One Metal and Gree Daikin.

In addition, the third annual Asiamold Global Mold Making Technology Innovation Summit is scheduled to take place alongside the 2013 exhibition. Consisting of a three-part conference and a brainstorming session, topics and their associated areas for discussion of the fringe event include:

Part I: New mold industry situation and development trends

-          The status of international mold manufacturing and its future

-          China’s policy towards domestic mold industry promotion under its 12th Five-Year Plan

-          Domestic and international demand for mold products and solutions

Part II: Green mold manufacturing process

- Low carbon energy output & steel mold production

- Automotive interior components mold manufacturing

- Combining online measurement technology for better efficiency

Additionally, the summit’s brainstorming session will gather industry experts to share ideas on the impact of 3D printing on the mold and die industry’s future.

Asiamold is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with EuroMold, the Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries Limited, the Dalian Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products Enterprises Association, the Special Steel Enterprises Association of China and Guangzhou Die & Mould Industry Association.

The show is also a part of an alliance with member shows in Africa (AfriMold), Asia (INTERMOLD Japan, INTERMOLD Korea), Europe (Euromold, RosMould) and the Americas (AmeriMold).
