On March 19, TCT ASIA 2026 successfully concluded! The exhibition saw a significant increase in attendance, with both professional visitors and general users present. Through on-site interactions, it is evident that 3D printing is becoming more widely adopted, with expanding application boundaries and accelerating innovation and competition.
3D printing is evolving from a prototyping tool into a production solution capable of supporting real-world applications. Materials are becoming the key variable connecting technology and industry. In response to this trend, eSUN’s answer is clear: leverage a systematic material capability to enable true large-scale application of 3D printing.
At this exhibition, eSUN showcased three major material systems to address increasingly segmented and evolving application demands.
1.Flexible Material System: From “Usable” to “Scalable”
The TPU series, PEBA series filaments, and single-component elastic resins together form a comprehensive flexible material portfolio covering various hardness levels, rebound performance, and processing adaptability. During the exhibition, this system attracted significant attention, confirming the growth potential of flexible materials in future applications.
2.Engineering Material System: Supporting Industrial-Grade Applications
Focusing on key properties such as high temperature resistance, antistatic performance, flame retardancy, and lightweighting, eSUN has developed a multidimensional engineering material system. During on-site discussions, professionals from various industries engaged in in-depth exchanges on specific applications. These diverse materials provide stable and reliable support for expanding 3D printing into professional fields.
3.General Material System: Balancing Stability and Expression
Based on PLA and PETG, eSUN continues to expand the boundaries of general-purpose materials, covering basic to functional products, including silk, matte, biomimetic, glow-in-the-dark, and color-changing options. While ensuring printing stability, these materials offer greater freedom for personalized expression and creative realization.
At this exhibition, eSUN introduced several new and upgraded products, directly addressing application-side pain points.
1.Single-Component Multicolor Foamed Elastic Resin: One-Step Molding, No Painting Required
This material enables integrated foaming of complex multicolor structures, using the resin’s original colors without the need for painting. Printed models present a premium foamed matte texture, delivering enhanced visual quality while reducing post-processing such as painting, making production more efficient.
2.ABS+ Fully Upgraded: “Zero” Warping in Enclosed Printing
The new ABS+ formulation achieves a better balance between printability and mechanical performance. Its Z-axis tensile strength reaches 33 MPa, with a heat deflection temperature of 89°C. It also offers good toughness and strong interlayer bonding. In complex structure printing, it effectively reduces warping risk and improves reliability, providing stable support for engineering applications.
3.PLA Metal (Spray-Free) Upgraded: Enhanced Surface Aesthetics
The upgraded PLA Metal (spray-free, silver) incorporates a high content of metal powder to deliver a realistic weighty feel and matte metallic texture. It achieves high-quality surface finishes without painting or polishing, significantly reducing post-processing costs.
