Ultra-Low Moisture Absorption! eSUN’s New PET-CF Now Available
At the recent 2025 TCT ASIA exhibition, many professional users showed strong demand for carbon fiber composite 3D printing materials.
With the acceleration of desktop industrialization, professional 3D printing materials and their applications will develop rapidly and deeply.
In the field of carbon fiber materials, eSUN has successively launched various materials including PLA-CF, ABS-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, PA12-CF, and PA12+CF.
The newly launched PET-CF material will further meet the needs of differentiated users with its excellent “ultra-low moisture absorption” performance.
About PET-CF
Performance, Applications and Parameter Reference
PET-CF adds chopped carbon fibers to the PET substrate, enhancing the material’s overall rigidity, hardness and wear resistance.
Models or parts printed with PET-CF are suitable for high heat resistance, relatively humid environments or applications requiring long-term stress.
PET-CF can be widely used in tooling fixtures, prototype manufacturing, electronics and automotive parts development and manufacturing.
Specifically, PET-CF has the following characteristics:
1 Ultra-Low Moisture Absorption
PET-CF has excellent ultra-low moisture absorption properties, maintaining relatively stable performance even in humid or water-contact environments, meeting application requirements.
2 Good Chemical Resistance
PET-CF inherits the characteristics of PET material and has good resistance to most acids, alkalis and organic solvents, making it suitable for outdoor or complex external environments.
3 Excellent Printability
Carbon fibers can inhibit warping that may occur during PET printing, further improving PET-CF’s printability. The print bed only needs to be heated to 70-80°C, and no chamber heating is required.
Compared with nylon carbon fiber reinforced materials, PET-CF also has obvious advantages such as high modulus and low creep. After annealing treatment, PET-CF’s temperature resistance can be further enhanced.
Friendly reminder: Carbon fiber materials cause relatively more wear on printer nozzles. When printing carbon fiber materials, it is recommended to use hardened steel nozzles.
In addition, the material should be protected from moisture. It is recommended to dry it before printing at 80°C for ≥8 hours.
Currently, eSUN’s new PET-CF is now available. Interested friends are welcome to inquire or place orders.
