What is "Flexible and Tough Composite Printing"
Multi-material combination adopts advanced flexible and tough composite 3D printing technology, through precise interlayer bonding process, seamlessly integrating tough materials (PLA+ / PETG) with flexible materials (TPU-95A) in a single printing process to form composite structure products with both structural strength and elastic performance.
Detailed printing tutorials and design instructions can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
Core Selling Points
1 + 1 > 2 Material Performance Combination
- Rigid materials provide dimensional stability
- Flexible materials provide elasticity and cushioning capacity
Integrated Molding of Complex Structures
- Can achieve rigid-flexible composite structures that are difficult to complete with traditional manufacturing
- Reduce assembly steps and improve structural reliability
Typical Application Scenarios
Industrial Manufacturing
- Custom fixtures and jigs (rigid frame + flexible contact surface)
- Shock-absorbing brackets and fixing seats
- Sealing and cushioning components for pipes and equipment interfaces
Consumer Products
- Wearable devices (watch straps, helmet padding)
- Sports equipment (bicycle handles, fitness equipment grips)
- Electronic accessories (phone cases, headphone headbands)
Medical and Rehabilitation
- Orthotics and prosthetics (support structure + flexible contact surface)
- Rehabilitation training equipment
- Medical tool trays (rigid body + flexible sealing edge)

Printing Parameter Analysis (Term Explanation)
Recommended Printing Process Parameters
Interlock Parameter Comparison
| Parameter Name | PLA+ & TPU | PETG & TPU |
|---|---|---|
| Interlock Beam Width | 1.2 | 1.6 |
| Interlock Direction | 30 | 30 |
| Interlock Beam Layers | 3 | 2 |
| Interlock Depth | 5 | 5 |
| Boundary Margin | 0 | 0 |
| Typical Fracture Strength (X-Y) | 6.6 MPa | 8.6 MPa |
Printing Notes (Key Tips)
Please design the interlock interface in the X-Y direction, as Z-direction interlock strength is weaker
The interlock interface width should not be too low, otherwise slicing cannot generate the interlock structure
